Our school are partnered with 360 Kids, a charitable organization that helps homeless youth transition back into the community. This year we will be donating to the 360 hub in Richmond Hill. They offer counselling, essential food and other health care aids and provide avenues for students to continue their education.

This year, the Kindergarten classes are kindly asked to donate single-serve food items. This is different from canned items.
Examples include: Kraft Dinner in a cup
Mr. Noodle
Cereal in a cup

Personal Belongings

Families,

We are kindly asking that students refrain (do not) from bringing toys, jewellery etc... to school. We are having incidents where items are being broken or are getting lost.

Busy week in Room 109

We started the week by using the vegetables we received from the farm to make our own vegetable soup. Perfect for a cold day!
We discussed how to make a recipe and the importance of food safety and hygiene. It was delicious and lots of students asked for more!!!

Students had the opportunity to dress up for Halloween! We went on a parade to see all of the different costumes and got to open our pumpkin. We estimated how many seeds would be in the pumpkin and then had the opportunity to count them using a 100s chart.

We have also started transforming our drama centre to Tim Hortons. We started making menus, signs, and various food items (donuts, muffins etc...)
