International Dot Day

We celebrated Dot Day many different ways in our classroom. We started by reading the book, "The Dot" by Peter H Reynolds. It's an inspiring story about a little girl not giving up.

We first explored dots by using paint, q-tips, corks and more. All of our work will be displayed for you to see on our Curriculum Night on Thursday October 6.

Here are some pictures of other areas in our classroom this week.

Students were practicing and exploring different types of lines with loose parts. This will help for our writing skills.
O.S. decided to make a picture using 2d shapes!
After students build a structure, they can draw a picture and write about what they created.

Please remember to send (and empty) your child's communication bag every day.

We've sent home your child's poem book today. Please practice reading these poems on the weekend and return it to school every Monday so we may add more poems.

Stay tuned for our library dates and our borrow-a-book program.

Have a great weekend!
