Letters and more!

Monday is a P.A. Day (no school). Please remember to send your child's poem book back to school on Tuesday. :)

We received a wonderful idea from a fellow FDK educator to use our first initial for art.  Students loved having the opportunity to work with watercolour paint after working with it for our sunflower observations! We taped off our first initial, painted on top and then took off the tape to reveal our letter!

Other students were engaged in different areas of the room:

We took our learning outside! We've been working on our 10-frame sign in procedure so we physically put ourselves into each box and counted how many friends were at school.

L.K wanted to make a storage box for her toys and decorate it. While putting it together, she stated, '"Mrs Sierra I made a cube."

J.N decided to create a card and included shapes in her picture. Great examples of how learning is integrated in everything we do.

During our morning sign in, students have the opportunity to work on their fine motor skills using whiteboard markers. It is a great way for us to recognize and practice how to write our names.
