Students had a great time participating in Halloween/Pumpkin related activities. We started our morning with a parade around the school, students loved looking at everybody's costumes.
Students are still very curious about pumpkins. We placed three different sized pumpkins at our wonder table and students have been voting on which pumpkin they think will have the most seeds. Later on this week, we will cut the pumpkins open and count how many seeds are in each pumpkin. We are excited to see and hear their reaction/observations when we open it up.
In Math, we have started surveys and graphs. Students have been working on asking questions and sorting objects. Today Ms. Colussi asked our friends what costume are you wearing and students sorted themselves into categories such as super heroes, princesses, animals etc..
To our families participating in Halloween this evening: have a safe and wonderful time trick or treating.
Just a gentle reminder that our November calendar has been sent home :) This month we are asking our special helper to bring in their favourite book.
