First Week Back!

Welcome Back! We came back to our classroom refreshed and ready to learn! Here is what we have been doing this week!

Exploring Sound: Student's had the opportunity to explore many different materials to see if they made noise. We tried aluminum foil, shakers, and water bottles to name a few!

This week, we put out an igloo challenge. Students were given various materials such as sugar cubes, and marshmallows to create their own igloo. We read fiction and non-fiction stories about them. Ask your child what he/she has learned! Also, we tied in 3D shapes into this--so much fun!
We took out a new toy to explore! Students created 3D shapes!

P.S and R.N were interested in Castles. They took a lot of time to build their castle. They added so much detail including the guards standing in the front, a kitchen table with people, windows and more. This was also another great way to talk about shapes and symmetry!
Our 3D Solid Museum is open! Thank you to all of our families for sending in objects that look like 3D solids. Students have been excited and eager to share their learning.
