Shapes are everywhere!

We have been learning about 2D shapes and 3D figures and have been noticing them everywhere especially in our play. 

Our castle spark has taken off and more and more students have been intrigued with castles and have been building using blocks and recyclables. 

 . 

We also played a game where we had to match our real life solids to the name of the actual solid. Students did a great job! 

Some Reminders: 

Friday January 20th (tomorrow) is a P.A. Day (no school). 

Friday January 27th: Twin Day. Dress up as a twin with a friend or sibling!

Monday January 30th: Fairness Assembly. The kindergarten classrooms are organizing the assembly and will be singing/dancing. Parents are welcome to join us at 10:10. 

Upcoming events: 

Thursday February 1st: Winter Walk to School Challenge

Friday February 2nd: Sweater Day. To support WWF and to reduce energy consumption, we will be lowering the temperature in our school. Students are asked to bundle up and dress warm in their favourite sweater. 

February 3rd: P.A. Day (no school)
