Special Family Project and Pink Day

February 24, 2016 is Pink T-Shirt Day! Kindness starts here :) Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and over the Internet. Wear something pink to symbolize that we as a society will not tolerate bullying anywhere.

Special Family Project: 

Last week, we discussed things that we enjoy doing with our families such as watching movies, travelling, going for walks etc…  In honour of family day, we will be creating a classroom quilt. We have provided each child with a piece to our quilt. We would like you to work with your child on adding 3-4 things that you enjoy doing or which represents your family the best way.  You can draw the items, cut them from a magazine or construction paper, use stickers, have fun!

Please do not use clipart or pictures from the Internet :)

We have provided some scrapbooking paper for you to use if you choose to.

We would like your child to return their piece on Monday February 27, 2017.

Here is an example of Mrs. Sierra's piece:

• She loves her family
• She also enjoys reading (It's not there yet :) )
