Our caterpillars have made their transformation and turned into chrysalis'. We are patiently waiting for our butterflies to emerge. Once out, we will be releasing them back into nature. In Math, we've been learning about spatial sense and symmetry. This week, students had the opportunity to use mira's and create the other side of their butterflies. They turned out great!
Student's have also been playing the barrier game. Here's how you can play at home:
1) This is a 2 player game, each player need 7 square tiles
2) Player a has a binder that acts as a barrier so player b will not see. Player a has to put the 7 tiles down in any formation as long as they touch.
3) When player a is done, he/she will then give instructions to player b on where to put his/her tiles.
4) When done, the barrier is picked up and both players check to see if their tiles are the same.
