"A smile is the prettiest thing you can wear"

This week we placed a provocation that had our students looking at themselves more closely. Each student in our class is special and each one brings something unique to our classroom. As we get to know our students, we are seeing their personalities shine. Students had the opportunity to create themselves using loose parts and to also share what their best part of themselves is and why.

We co-constructed our new number line and started learning about the different ways to represent numbers:

We are learning to quickly recognize numbers through dot plates.

This was our last week looking at sunflowers! Here is what we used to represent the sunflowers this week:

During outdoor learning time, students had the opportunity to sit in their sit spots and draw what they see in their natural surroundings and to use loose parts to create pictures:

Our Family Wall is almost complete.

If you have not sent in your family picture, please do as soon as possible! When students are feeling sad and miss their families, this area is a great place for them to visit. Students may draw how they feel and look at their family to help them feel better :)

Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

P.S. Curriculum night is around the corner! If you are attending the BBQ and presentation, please return the sheet as soon as possible.

Support Terry Fox by sending in a toonie! We will go on our  annual Terry Fox Walk on Thursday, September 28 from 1:00-1:45 pm.

Reminder: Monday is a P.A. Day-there will be no school!
