Making a Mark

"Just make a mark and see where it takes you."
International Dot Day

On Friday, we celebrated international Dot Day! After reading Peter Reynold's book, The Dot  we had the opportunity to express our own creativity. Below are some pictures of the fun we had and how cute we looked in dots:

Ms. Wolfstadt is happy to be wearing her dot shirt.

Our Dot Tree!

Here are some pictures from the week:

This week, we learned how to create sunflowers using loose parts. There will be a new challenge next week!

Painting the first letter of our names:

We started outdoor learning! We will be going outside every afternoon (even on those cold winter days!). This week, we observed and picked a class tree and sat in our sit spots. We will visit the tree often and see any changes that may occur over the next 10 months.

Friendly Reminders:
Please remember to fill out and return the following if you haven't already:
1) Book of Forms
2) Contact info sheet
3) Blog permission form
4) BBQ/curriculum night

Poem book: Your child came home with a yellow poem book. We will be putting all of our shared reading/poems for the week in the duotang.  Poems are a great way to practice 1:1 reading and directionality (reading left to right). Please return the yellow duotang in your child's mailbag on Monday.

Borrow a book will be starting towards the end of the month.

Have a great weekend! Enjoy the sunshine!
