Go Canada Go!

We are encouraging JLPS staff and students to wear red and/or white tomorrow to show support for Canada during the Winter Olympics. 

This week, we have started learning about the Olympics: the signficance of the five rings and the torch. With Ms.Futia, students had the opportunity to make their own torch which signifies the beginning of the olympics. We used the torches to decorate our classroom door. 

Every morning, we will check how many medals Canada has won and our special helper will add medals to our door! 

We also went outside for Winter Walk Day! We had lots of fun! 

Friendly Reminders: 

1. Book Fair starts tomorrow! 
2. Wednesday is Valentine's Day. Please refrain from sending any treats or candy as we have a "no food policy." If your child would like to give out cards, please ensure there is one for every student in our class, we have 23 students. Please have your child write his/her own name on each card and write My Friend or leave it blank in the "To" Section.
