Reminders from Room 109

Spirit Day: Tomorrow we are asking our students to show their spirit and earn a point for their colour team by wearing purple. This is to show support for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and to take a stand against bullying. 

Borrow a book: Starting today we will be changing books only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can keep the book bags in their mail bags OR choose to send them in only on those days. 

Students are encouraged to continue reading/logging their books daily on the log sheet. 

Weather: As the weather changes, we kindly ask that you dress your child in warm clothes (sweaters, jackets, hats, gloves etc...) as we go outside for recess daily and outdoor learning. To support self-regulation, please practice putting on jackets at home and zipping up jackets. 

We use the flip method at school. Follow these steps: 
1. Place the coat on the floor with the inside facing up 
2. Stand facing the coat with your feet at the top (where the collar or hood are) 
3. Bend down and slip your arms into the sleeves. 
4. Flip the coat over your head as you stand up. 
5. Voila! All warm and ready to go!
