Orange Day!
On Friday September 30th, our school will be participating in Orange Shirt Day. The Orange Shirt Day movement started in 2013 to highlight the pain and suffering of thousands of indigenous children who were sent to residential school throughout the last century. We are asking students to wear the colour orange on Friday to recognize the resiliency and bravery of Residential Survivors by wearing something orange.
International Walk to School Day is on Wednesday October 5th.
We are encouraging all students and their parents/guardians to walk to school on this day in recognition of the many health benefits that go along with walking to school and how much it helps the environment to cut down on car usage.
