We sent home a note today regarding Valentine's day cards. If you choose to send cards, please note that we have 24 students and to include everybody. We find its the easiest if friends write:
To: "My Friend"
From: _____________ (their name).
* Please do not send any sweets (e.g., lollipops, gummies) or treats (e.g., stickers, pencils).
Dance-a-thon
On February 14 the whole school will be participating in a dance-a-thon. Not only is dancing part of our Ontario Curriculum, but it is a great way for students to build friendships and develop positive self esteem.
We have had over 40 prizes donated for our Dance-a-thon! Prizes vary from gift cards to Cineplex, Munchies, HMV and iTunes to Raptors jersey, art kits, sports equipment, movies, puzzles and even JLPS spirit wear. Staff have also put together packages like, hockey with 10 of your friends in the gym, McDonald lunch for you and 3 friends, yoga for you and 5 friends and we even have throw a pie in Mr. Parfeniuk's face. The assortment is amazing...something for everyone!
Please remember to send in your child's pledge form before February 14 and for every $5.00 they will receive 1 raffle ticket for them to choose a possible prize to win.
