Thank you!

Mrs. Velocci, Mrs. Partab and I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of our families for contributing to the Winter Needs Drive. Students were mathematicians this week as they sorted all of the toiletries by type and counted how many we collected. These are our totals so far: 

Toothbrushes: 86

Toothpaste: 39

Chapstick: 18

Students in our room have also been very busy writing letters to the teachers about what they should turn the drama centre into next. We wrote a letter to Miriam our Kortright instructor and tweeted the letter to her!  

We've been reading lots of books and will continue next week with our discussion about how letters look, what they need (date, greeting, message and a closing), and how to address an envelope (Including who the letter is to and from and putting a stamp in the right hand corner).

P.S. The art table is always a popular centre for our students to do observational art. If anybody knows a florist that may be willing to donate some flowers to our class on a seasonal basis, please let us know. We greatly appreciate your help :)
