Hello, Sunshine!

Image result for spring quote

This week, we welcomed Spring! We celebrated Earth Hour on Friday by turning off the lights and powering down. The amount of energy we saved was equivalent to running a 2000 watt toaster for 5 hours, a 100 watt lamp for 100 hours or using an iPad (5 watts) for 2000 hours, WOW!

Tonight you can do your part for Earth Hour by powering down from 8:30-9:30 p.m! We're looking forward to hearing what you did to celebrate.

Here are some picture of what we've been upto this week to welcome Spring!

Lead by Ms.Velocci, we focused on the artist, Claude Monet this week. We read books and looked at his work and style carefully. We then used tulips, paint and paint brushes to create our own Water Lily Pond picture.

We went outside for a spring nature walk and observed the changes.

We also opened our movie theatre this week!

In other areas of our classroom....

These friends worked really hard to put together a new puzzle!

Upcoming Events:
March 30: Good Friday- no school
April 2: Easter Monday- no school
April 3: Autism Awareness Day- wear blue and cupcake sales.
April 26: School Council Meeting (all parents are welcome)

Have a great weekend!
